Making the circulation visible
Dr. Nassef has spent his career on a simple question: what is the circulation actually doing, right now, in this patient? Blood pressure alone rarely answers it. His work focuses on measuring flow, resistance and contractility non-invasively, and on teaching teams to act on those numbers, from premature babies to adults with septic shock or hypertension.
He teaches non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring with Electrical Cardiometry™, and has published on its use in septic shock, hypertension and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and on its role in paediatric and neonatal care.

Our logo: a heartbeat made visible
With every beat, the heart pushes a stroke of blood into the aorta. Between beats, the red cells inside lie scattered at random. In the moment the heart ejects, they line up with the flow, and that alignment is exactly the signal Electrical Cardiometry reads.
Our logo captures that moment: a real, anatomical heart, the aorta rising from it, and the red cells inside lining up to form the N of Nassef. The method, the vessel and the name, in one mark.
How we got there
We explored many directions: the aortic arch drawn as a lowercase n, a heart with an N, an academic crest with two columns, and an N made of red cells. The cells won, because that logo teaches how the technology works before you read a word. Then we brought the heart in, first as a symbol, then as a real anatomical heart rather than a love-heart, and finally showed the moment of the beat itself. The animated version tells that whole story in five seconds.
Colours and type
Deep navy for the calm of an ICU at night and the seriousness of clinical work. Coral-red for blood, life and the pulse. White for clarity. The text is set in Inter, chosen for clarity, and the name in a classic serif that gives it academic weight.
Heart artwork based on the open-source Health Icons set (healthicons.org).
Workshops, webinars and hospital training
Hospitals and societies can book hands-on hemodynamics workshops and bedside training for ICU, emergency, anaesthesia and paediatric teams. Requests are handled by International Care Group, the academy's supporter.
